Thomson joins the race for ultra-large TVs with the launch of a 100-inch Google TV in Europe, priced around 3000–4000 Euro.
The trend toward ever-larger home displays continues as consumers embrace big-screen TVs for their living rooms and home theaters. What began with 65-inch models has steadily grown through 75, 85 and now 98- and 100-inch sizes due to continuously decreasing prices for big TVs.
At 100 inches, TVs are approaching the scale of projectors, but with one major advantage; better picture quality in all rooms, without the need for blackout conditions.
