Sharp LE824 and LE814 to replace LE820 and LE810

Earlier this year Sharp released the two LE810 and LE820 series that were slim models with Edge LED and appealing design. These two models will now be replaced by new LE814 and LE824 models. Updates include Aquos NET with access to the internet, HDMI 1.4 and a DVB-S tuner (in Europe).

Sharp LE814 and LE824
Sharp LE814 and LE824 are the successors to the LE810 and LE820 models. The two new models have no updates in regards to picture quality but will receive some functionality updates.


Sharp LE824

One of the new features is the Aquos Net that is the new internet service from Sharp with access to different internet services such as YouTube. A wireless USB dongle is also included.

Both model will also have DVB-S2 tuners (in Europe) and a HDMI 1.4 input has been incorporated to allow ARC (audio return channel).

LE814 has a plastic frame and LE824 will have Sharp's exclusive glass front. Both use Edge LED.

Other technical specs on the LE814 and LE824 models include Quattron panel, USB, 100/120 Hz and LED.

Out in October
 LE814 and LE824 will replace the current LE810 and LE820 models this October.

LE814 will be available in 40 and 46 inches called 40LE814 and 46LE814. LE824 will be available in 40, 46 and 52 inches called 40LE824, 46LE824, and 52LE824. Prices have not been announced.
