Loewe presents their new Loewe Assist Media app for iPad. It is not just a simple touch screen remote with the basic TV functions – it uses two-way communication for an interactive EPG (electronic program guide) on the iPad screen, and collects TV show data from Gracenote.
Loewe remote app for iPad
Loewe has created a new app that will make it easier for Loewe TV and iPad owners to control their TV. The Assist Media app transforms the iPad into an intuitive remote control that can control the Individual, Connect and Art series.

The Loewe app is not just moving the standard remote functions to the iPad screen. Instead, the user can browse the EPG (electronic program guide) on the iPad screen. The EPG provides detailed information on films and TV shows through Gracenote. And when you have found an interesting TV-show, simply select it on the iPad screen and the shows starts playing on the TV.
The user can also choose to record future TV shows onto the integrated hard drive of their Loewe TV (it needs DR+ archive) via the iPad interface. It only requires one touch, Loewe says. Loewe has even implemented a customizable dashboard that can show favorite channels and more on the iPad screen. Loewe’s MediaNet Smart TV platform can also be accessed using the iPad.

The Loewe Assist Media app is compatible with all Internet-enabled Loewe LED televisions over 32 inches – but may require a firmware update. You can download the Loewe Assist Media app from iTunes now. It is free until April 1, 2012.
