Despite the lackluster adoption of Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operation system in homes, display makers continue to release multitouch-enabled monitors. AOC is now introducing two new 10 point multitouch monitors.
Multitouch for Windows 8
The two new 21.5 and 23.6-inch monitors are certified Windows 8 products. You can use up to 10 fingers simultaneously, for zooming, scrolling or swiping as well as other touch commands.

Both products can tilt back for a better touch experience. The monitors incorporate IPS panel that are known to produce accurate colors and fairly wide viewing angles. The resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, and both models have built-in speakers, a microphone and a camera for video conferencing in the frame.
AOC’s monitors can obviously be used without the touch capabilities, by using Windows with a standard mouse and keyboard. Connection options include two HDMI ports and a D-SUB (VGA) and in addition to that you need to connect a USB cable between the PC and monitor to enable the touch functionality.
AOC’s new myTouchDisplays will be available later in February as the 21.5" i2272Pwhut and the 23.6" i2472Pwhut.
