What if you could play PlayStation games directly on your TV without a PlayStation box? This summer you can when Sony launches its three new 4K TVs with PlayStation Now functionality.
PlayStation Now in Sony TVs
We were among the first to get some quality hands-on time with PlayStation Now; Sony’s streaming-based PlayStation service. The idea is to let you stream PlayStation games, without the actual game console, to TVs, smartphones and tablets.

Sony’s coming 4K TVs will be the first TVs with PlayStation Now functionality. Just add a PlayStation Dualshock 3 controller – the one from PlayStation 3 – and you are ready to go. Sony will let you rent games by title or subscribe to a monthly package. Launch games include The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, Beyond: Two Souls, and Puppeteer.
PlayStation Now will enable far more people to enjoy PlayStation games and PlayStation could potentially morph into a platform instead of a physical box. PlayStation Now could also be one of the first reasons to buy a Smart TV. PlayStation Now will launch this summer together with the new 4K TVs. Are you excited yet?
