“How real do you want your racing?”, asks BenQ. The new 35-inch XR3501 is a gaming monitor designed specifically for racing and other games benefit from the extra wide 21:9 format.
BenQ unveils 35-inch XR3501
BenQ’s XR3501 has a 2560x1080 pixel resolution in the extra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio. It also has a 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for fast-paced games.

The monitor is curved and BenQ imagines that you will want to place two or three monitors side by side on your desktop for the best possible racing experience. There is no mention of FreeSync or G-sync support, and BenQ has not announced specs either.
BenQ states that; ”Virtual racing has never felt as real as it does with the XR3501. The monitor’s 2000R curvature is the most of any LCD monitor on the market, and that adds up to a driving experience that is the closest thing on a desktop to getting behind the wheel of an actual race car.” People who have tried virtual reality headset such as Oculus Rift will probably disagree with that but it will surely look impressive.
BenQ XR3501 will be available in the “second quarter of 2015”. No pricing details were announced.
