First pictures of Dell U2711 here.

Dell has a habit of revealing their new monitors through other products or manuals on their websites around the world. Thus, users lately found several references to a new 27-inch monitor from Dell, which seems to follow up on U2410 that we recently reviewed. The new monitor will be called Dell U2711.

Dell U2711 soon?

Dell has once again by accident revealed what looks like a new product . Dell has mentioned a U2711 on multiple locations on their websites, which indicates that there is a 27-inch model on the way from Dell – most likely a bigger brother to the U2410 model.

According to several sources the screen uses a 27-inch panel; the same one as in the new 27-inch iMac from Apple. This means a nice resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and an LED backlight. It also means a slimmer profile and a more power efficient monitor with no clouding issues (because of the LED backlight).

Finally Dell U2711 will utilize the IPS panel technology, just like U2410. IPS panels are often preferred by graphic users, photographers, and discerning users.

We let you know when we know more about Dell U2711. Until then, check out the Dell website for more information, or read our Dell U2410 review.
