At a press conference, Samsung’s EU marketing director said that Samsung will launch their OLED-TV at IFA 2012 in Berlin this September. Samsung will also release “totally-new designs and concepts as well as totally-new premium TVs” at IFA.
Samsung OLED-TV at IFA 2012
At a pre-IFA press conference, Michael Zoelle, European Marketing Director of TV/AV, revealed to Nikkei that Samsung plans to launch their OLED-TV at IFA 2012 in Berlin. Pricing details and specifications will not be revealed before IFA 2012 either, Samsung says.

Samsung’s 55-inch Super OLED-TV
Samsung first exhibited a 55-inch OLED-TV at CES 2012 in Las Vegas back in January. LG also exhibited a 55-inch OLED-TV, and it was recently reported that LG will launch their OLED-TV in May 2012. Reports that Samsung plans to introduce before the 2012 summer Olympics have also emerged but these rumors remain unconfirmed.
Michael Zoelle also told Nikkei;
- "Also, we will exhibit TVs with totally-new designs and concepts as well as totally-new premium TVs."
What Zoelle is referring to is unclear but Samsung has revealed new model at IFA in the past. Right now Samsung’s 2012 LED and plasma models have started to become available in both Europe and the US.
IFA 2012 will take place from August 31 to September 5, 2012 in Berlin. Learn more about Samsung’s 55” OLED-TV here.
