Philips 4K TVs in the 9000 series leaked
Back in March, it was said that Philips’ first Ultra HD TVs would debut at IFA this September. Philips’ new 9000 series has now leaked on the internet, confirming the 4K specification.

A leaked picture claims to show Philips’ new 4K 9000 series TV
Philips’ new 9000 series will reportedly launch in 65 and 84 inch variants with 3840x2160 pixel resolution: also referred to as Ultra HD or 4K. A blurry picture of the new Philips 4K TV has been shared. It shows a thin, black frame with a small bar and a Philips logo at the bottom. The bar is characteristic for Philips and the picture looks legit.
Besides the 4K panel, the new TVs will feature passive 3D technology and Philip’s new picture engine Ultra Pixel HD Engine that includes a scaling system that can upscale low-resolution and Full HD content. Philips also boasts its Ultra 900 Hz system on a specifications sheet that has leaked. The passive 3D specification suggests that Philips will be using LG’s new Ultra HD panels that will go into production soon.

Philips’ new 9000 series will debut at IFA 2013 in Berlin this September. The leaks have confirmed a 65” 65PFL9708 and an 84” 84PFL9708 but we cannot rule out a 55” version.
