LG PZ950 with THX and 3D
LG’s plasma technology is alive and kicking. At CES 2011 LG has introduced the two new high-end 50 to 60 inch models, 50PZ950 and 60PZ950.
PZ950 has a new and updated design based on LG’s Borderless philosophy with a glass front covering both panel and bezel. The stand is slightly rounded.Control your TV with your phone
In the 2011 models LG is also introducing their new Smart TV portal based on an established system that has been developed for years. You may know it as Plex.
LG has developed Apps for Phone and Android that lets you control the TV - including the Smart TV portal. PZ950 also supports LG’s Magic Motion remote with gyro based sensing technology.
Another feature is the USB recording function. Plug in a USB key or USB hard drive and PZ950 will let you record TV onto the devices, even from the digital TV guide. DLNA for video, music and pictures is supported, too.3D glasses designed by Alain Mikli
LG unveiled their new 2011 3D glasses some time ago and the fancy Alain Mikli 3D glasses come bundled with the new PZ950 flat panel TVs.
Like on LG’s previous high-end plasma-TVs, PZ950 is equipped with a Tru Black-filter in order to improve black levels and contrast, even in bright conditions. PZ950 is also one of the few TVs to have a THX 2D and THX 3D certification.
