Panasonic has unveiled the 2013 line-up of plasma-TVs. The flagship is called ZT60 but Panasonic will also release VT60 and ST60 series. The TVs come with improved picture quality, 3D and Smart TV.

Panasonic’s new plasma TV are more elegant than ever but the primary focus is still on picture quality. The new flagship is not VT60 but instead a ZT60 TV

ZT60 comes with a one-sheet-of-glass design, a new filter to reduce reflections, active 3D technology and Panasonic’s new Smart TV platform. Users can also ”write” on pictures on the screen with a new dedicated ”pen”. Panasonic promises "beyond the reference" picture quality on ZT60. It is certified for both THX in 2D and 3D.

ZT60 comes in 60 and 65 inch sizes.

The VT60 range comes with an Infinite Black Ultra panel and a one-sheet-of-glass design. Active 3D is also included as well as Smart TV fuctionality. VT60 is also certified for THX in both 2D and 3D.

VT60 will be available in 55, 60 and 65 inch sizes.

The ST60 range is one step down from the VT60 range and comes with Infinite Black Pro panel, active 3D and Smart TV.

ST60 will be available in 50, 55, 60 and 65 inch sizes.

Panasonic also plans to launch a S60 range without 3D. It will be available in 42, 50, 55, 60 and 65 inch sizes.

Some of the new features of the Smart TV platform include TV streaming apps and other new apps and the ability to push video and images from a smartphone or tablet onto the TV screen. If other users in the room own have brought a smartphone they can also pull images from the TV screen and save them. We will tell you more about the Smart TV features later.
