Netflix coming to Australia & New Zealand in March

19 Nov 2014 | Rasmus Larsen |

Netflix has confirmed that it will launch in Australia and New Zealand in March 2015. Details are sparse at this point, but Netflix says that its original TV series will be available in 4K.

Netflix is going Down Under

We had heard the rumors and Netflix has now confirmed that the launch in Australia and New Zealand is set for March 2015 via an upside-down tweet. Netflix will offer local licensed content in addition to its own originals, including future series such as “Marco Polo, BoJack Horseman and, among many kids titles, DreamWorks Animation’s All Hail King Julien”. Netflix in Australia will also be available on a long list of devices, including TVs, game consoles, tablets, phones and PCs. The price has not been announced, but we can probably expect it to be more or less equal to other regions. Netflix currently has three tiers offering SD, HD and 4K.
