AOC is introducing two new large-size PC monitors; one with 4K resolution and one with 2560x1440 pixels.
One with IPS, one with VA
AOC is introducing two new monitors named U3277PQU and Q3277PQU, expanding its line-up of large-size monitors. Last year, the manufacturer launched a 28” 4K monitor but the two new models have completely different characteristics.
Besides the obvious step up in size, the two new monitors use quality panels, unlike last year's 28" monitor that used a TN panel. The U3277PQU is using an IPS panels with 3840x2160 pixels. The Q3277PQU is using a VA panel with 2560x1440 pixels. Both panels are suitable for work with colors, text, video, and other tasks but are however limited to the sRGB color space.
It is possible to connect two sources to the same monitor by using the built-in picture-in-picture (PiP) and picture-by-picture (PbP) functions. AOC says that the monitors are also flicker-free and that extensive stand adjustment options are available.
The monitors can be connected to PCs and Macs via DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, DVI and D-Sub (VGA). You can also connect accessories via one of the USB ports.
AOC’s new PC monitors will be available in Europe in August. The 4K model will cost around Ł700.
