True to tradition, the Eisa Awards have been announced ahead of IFA in Berlin. This year, LG is honored for OLED and Smart TV, whereas Samsung wins best high-end TV. Sony and Philips’ TVs have also received awards.
LG wins for OLED and Smart TV
Per tradition, Eisa has introduced a few new categories to ensure that most major TV manufacturers get something. The only big TV brand without an award is Panasonic. Nevertheless, LG looks like the big winner in TVs with an award for OLED and another award for its Smart TV (webOS).
It is also worth noting that the award for best Blu-ray player is awarded to a HD player and not one of the new Ultra HD Blu-ray players that are expected to be announced at the IFA show.
