Loewe has unveiled its first OLED TV called bild 7. It will be available starting in September in 55 and 65-inch sizes for 4990 and 6990 Euro, respectively.

Loewe’s first OLED TVs will be capable of reproducing Ultra HD resolution. The company makes no mention of HDR (high dynamic range) but it seems likely that HDR will also be supported since the TVs will be based on OLED panels from LG.Display.

The German TV manufacturer will make its first OLED TV part of a new line called VantaVision. This OLED TV has been named bild 7 and is just 7 mm thick, slimmer than most smartphones. Loewe further says that it has opted for the finest materials and a high level of finish. The connectors and cables on the rear of the TV are concealed by a type of fabric.


There is an integrated 120 Watt soundbar that is hidden behind the TV whenever it is switched off.

- “The theatre begins when switching on bild 7, the screen automatically moves upwards on a series of motors unveiling a slim and yet powerful soundbar. With an incredible output of 120 watts, from six drivers and four passive bass diaphragms, the device produces dynamic, precise, room-filling sound for an unprecedented entertainment experience. Switch off bild 7 and the screen silently lowers back down discreetly hiding the soundbar, leaving just the minimal glass screen visible.” says Loewe.

The company proclaims that bild 7 will offer its best picture quality to date, adding that “bright self-luminous pixels in the OLED display enable unequalled high contrasts, a much larger colour gamut, finer colour graduation and an unprecedented level of black compared to conventional LCD TVs”.


The TVs also comes equipped with Bluetooth that allows the user to stream music from a smartphone or tablet. 

The Loewe bild 7 OLED TV will be released in September in 55 and 65-inch sizes for 4990 and 6990 Euro, respectively. It comes with a wall bracket as standard, and more stands, including motorized floor/tablet stands and a swiveling wall mount, will also be available. More details will be announced later.
