TCL USA is launching a line-up of 'Roku TV Ready' soundbars. The top-of-the-line Alto 9+ also features AirPlay 2 and Google Assistant.

Spearheaded by the $300 TCL Alto 9+ soundbar, the new line-up has been designed for Roku TVs, which involves that you can control them with a Roku TV remote.

- "With the exception of Alto 3, the new TCL sound bars will be Roku TV Ready certified to give users added confidence when seeking an audio upgrade experience. Audio products featuring the Roku TV Ready badge have been verified to work seamlessly with Roku TV. Users will enjoy a smoother setup, easy access to sound settings, and compatibility with their Roku TV remote," the company explained.

The RokuOS is not included in the TCL soundbars, unlike the Roku Streambar that Roku launched earlier this week. The idea is that you pair TCL's soundbars with an existing Roku TV that already provides access to streaming services like Amazon, Apple TV+, Netflix, and Disney+.

TCL's Alto 9+ is a 3.1-channel soundbar with left/right/center channels plus a wireless subwoofer. It also features Apple AirPlay 2 for wireless music and wireless integration with Apple TV as well as Google Assistant voice control. In addition, TCL says that it supports Dolby Atmos virtual height channels.
