LG has announced a promotion in partnership with Apple to give Smart TV owners in over 80 countries free access to Apple TV+ for three months.

The promotion will go live starting November 15 in "over 80 countries" – the full list was not provided at press time. LG said that the offer applies to all compatible 2016-2021 4K and 8K Smart TVs.

- "The promotion applies to all compatible 2016-2021, 8K and 4K LG Smart TV models and is available to LG TV owners who sign-up for the Apple TV+ promotion by February 13, 2022. The offer is redeemable by simply following the on-screen instructions in the LG Content Store or by clicking the Apple TV+ advertisement banner on the LG TV home menu," said LG.



Apple TV+ is a video subscription service with popular titles likes Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Foundation. The service will debut its first Korean language series, Dr. Brain, on November 4, and Apple will at the same time launch its Apple TV 4K (with tvOS) media player in LG's home country of South Korea.

The promotion comes just a couple of weeks after a new stand-alone Apple TV+ app launched on 2016-2017 LG TVs. A more feature-rich Apple TV app, with access to the iTunes movie library, is available on 2018+ LG TVs. Many LG OLED and LCD TVs support Apple TV+ streaming in up to 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

The promotion goes live on November 15 so check your LG TV later this month.
