Chromecast will launch in 8 additional European countries and 4 other countries with a localized user interface and deeper integration with local streaming services.

The countries are as follows:

- "The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and Austria. Additionally, outside of Europe, it’s coming to Taiwan, New Zealand, South Korea, and India," Google confirmed to FlatpanelsHD.

In the European markets it will be available on June 21 for 70 Euro or the equivalent through the Google online store and participating retailers. For availability in India, New Zealand, South Korea, and Taiwan check your local Google online store in the near future.

Localized features
The latest Chromecast was already sold by third-party retailers in these regions and all existing units will also get updated to support the new localized features, according to Google.

Users will get an interface in their local language and deeper integration with local services meaning that content from these services will show up in recommendations and app rows on the homescreen.

Ads in Chromecast's top carousel will also get localized. Some local services will also come pre-installed on the device.

However, some features may be missing in your region such as the 'For you' and 'Live' tabs. Google is planning to introduce additional features through software and server-side updates in the future including user profiles and personal watchlists.

Chromecast with Google TV supports 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos streaming. It can be connected to any TV with HDMI and can be controlled with TV's remote control if the TV supports HDMI CEC – or vice versa.
