Apple and PlayStation extend 6 free months of Apple TV+ offer

08 Aug 2022 | Rasmus Larsen |

PlayStation 5 owners can get 6 free months of Apple TV+ while PlayStation 4 owners can get 3 free months. The offer is now redeemable until October 19, 2022.

The offer originally ended on July 22, 2022, but Apple and Sony have extended it, seemingly to give users a chance to stream Apple and SkyDance's new animated feature film Luck.

- "Redeem your offer between now and October 19th, 2022, and start watching critically acclaimed Apple Original series like Ted Lasso, See and Foundation, as well as hit films like Finch," announced Sony PlayStation.

Get 6 or 3 months

PS5 owners can redeem the 6 free months even if they have an existing Apple TV+ subscription (except Apple One). PS4 owners cannot. To redeem the offer and get started, simply download the Apple TV app on your PS4 or PS5 console. The Apple TV+ account can be used on all devices – not just PlayStation – which is something you should consider since PlayStation consoles lack support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos – and have very high power consumption during video streaming After the free trial, Apple TV+ will renew at $5, €5 or £5 per month unless you cancel it. You can learn more about Apple TV+ on the website.
