Corsair unveils 45-inch bendable 240Hz OLED monitor

26 Aug 2022 | Rasmus Larsen |

Corsair is getting into the OLED game with a unique gaming monitor that you use fully flat or bend manually to a 800R curvature. It is also one of the first 240Hz OLED monitors.

This week, LG unveiled its first 240Hz OLED gaming monitor but if you cannot decide between having a flat or curved monitor Corsair might have the right thing for you. No longer a prototype, Corsair intends to launch its 45-inch bendable Xenoen Flex 45WQHD240 in the near future.

Corsair confirms that the OLED monitor was developed in partnership with LG Display, the panel manufacturer. It appears to be the same panel as in LG Electronics's new 45-inch 240Hz curved OLED monitor – Corsair has just made it bendable.

- "We challenged ourselves to create a game-changing display that delivers an incredible and customizable experience, and I think we’ve achieved that goal and more," said Dennis Jackson, Senior Director of Systems Product Management & Marketing, Corsair. "With the help of LG Display, XENEON OLED FLEX is the beginning of a whole new class of gaming monitor, with the performance and literal flexibility to exceed the needs of even the most discerning gamers." The new 240Hz OLED monitors from LG and Corsair one-up the 34-inch 144Hz QD-OLED gaming monitors, including the one from Dell Alienware, that were launched earlier this year.

3-year burn-in guarantee

Corsair said that the monitor features 240Hz refresh rate, 3440x1440 resolution with 21:9 aspect ratio, 0.03 ms (g2g) or 0.01 ms (on/off) response time, 1000 nits peak brightness, anti-reflective coating, and of course WOLED's pure black levels and pixel-level luminance control for 1,350,000:1 contrast ratio. In addition, it has "a sophisticated burn-in prevention system", backed by a 3-year "Zero Burn in and Zero Dead Pixel Warranty". It supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium for VRR gaming. This real question, of course, is how much it will cost? Corsair only said that it will provide further details on launch, availability and specifications later in 2022.
