The TV Anywhere and TV Anytime features in Panasonic TVs and HDD recorders let users watch live or recorded TV programmes on a smartphone or tablet outside the home via the 'Panasonic Media Center' app. It also lets users set timer recordings for TV programmes from outside the house. The functionality has been an integral part of Panasonic TVs and recorders for a decade or so but the shift from tuner broadcasting to streaming has changed the market. Panasonic will end support on October 18, 2023. Here is the company's official notice:
Notice of Panasonic Media Center App Discontinuation We regret to inform you that the service of Panasonic Media Center App will be discontinued on October 18th, 2023, and the download of the smartphone application will also be discontinued at the same time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our users. Please note that after the service discontinuation, even if the app is already installed on your device, you will no longer be able to log in to the service or use the app.
