LG has begun rolling out webOS 23 (from 2023) to select 2022 TV models, featuring a refreshed homescreen and new features.
Owners from various regions, including North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, are reporting on Reddit that they have started receiving notifications for a firmware upgrade from webOS 22 to webOS 23.
It is a gradual roll-out, according to LG, so just wait for your turn. The new firmware will be available from the TV's built-in update menu.

Chromecast support next year
webOS 23 was first introduced with the 2023 models. As detailed in our article last week, there will be a one-year delay in webOS upgrades for older TVs, meaning that webOS 24 with built-in Chromecast support will not be available for older models until 2025. LG has committed to four webOS version upgrades over a five-year period for models from 2022 onwards.
Be aware that it is not possible to revert to an earlier version of webOS after the upgrade.
