FlatpanelsHD revealed Dell’s new U2412M, U2312HM and U2212HM monitors back in May. The 24-inch U2412M with e-IPS panel, 1920x1200 pixel resolution and an updated design is now official on www.dell.com.

We already knew it was coming but we did not now the price. Dell U2412M is now officially announced with a $399 price tag. That is considerably cheaper than its predecessor U2410.

Dell U2412M features a 16:10 format e-IPS panel with 1920x1200 resolution. Dell has also incorporated a LED backlighting unit to slim down the monitor and to reduce power consumption compared to the previous generation of Dell’s IPS based monitors.

Other specifications include a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 8 ms (g2g) response time, and 178/178 viewing angles. U2412M comes with DVI, DisplayPort, VGA and 4 USB ports. Dell has also released an optional soundbar unit that fits below the monitor.

The bezel appears a bit more rounded at the edges but the black matte color is not changed. The stand will also allow users to adjust tilt, height, swivel and pivot.

Learn more about Dell U2412M or order your sample at www.dell.com. The monitor is not online in the European Dell stores yet but we guess that it is just a matter of time.
We also hope to receive a test sample soon.
