TCL launches miniLED LCD TVs with even more dimming zones and a new WHVA panel with wider viewing angles. Nxtvision with B&O sound challenges Samsung's The Frame. For the first time, Filmmaker Mode and Dolby Atmos FlexConnect are also supported. Here is TCL's 2025 line-up.
We have redesigned our TV line-up overview to include more data and technical information (under TV models click on to expand the view). We are also introducing an interactive TV compare tool (use to add TVs to compare tool). It's all powered by the TV Database.
TCL Europe and TCL USA still have different model line-ups, but the models are now mostly distinguished by name and the type of TV tuners inside. For now, we continue to include both the European and American versions in the line-up overview at the bottom but may decide to consolidate them one the same model in future overviews.

This year, TCL is launching X11K, C9K, C8K (QM8K), C7K (QM7K) and C6K (QM6K) as well as some more budget-friendly series TV ranges. However, as in previous years, the TVs will be sold under a variety of other model names, especially in Europe, even though they are technically the same TV – e.g. QLED** and MQLED**. We have upgraded the overview at the bottom to give a better overview of model variants/name variants.
X11K is this year's new flagship, but last year’s 115-inch X955 Max carries over and is still the TCL model with the most miniLED zones. A new 115-inch TV will also be launched in the C7K series, which will be more affordable.
In addition to the 115-inch, TCL is also increasing its focus on large 85- and 98-inch TV. There are several new 98-inch models in the 2025 line-up, ranging from budget to premium.
A major highlight this year is the WHVA LCD panel, which FlatpanelsHD exclusively revealed last year. It offers wider viewing angles without compromising contrast – something that has traditionally been a tradeoff in LCD panels. WHVA is found in C8K and C9K (not X11K) and FlatpanelsHD will soon take a closer look at it in a full TCL C8K (QM8K) review.
As mentioned, the new models feature more miniLED dimming zones for improved HDR picture quality. You can see the number of dimming zones in each size and range in the model overview at the bottom
C8K is the successor to the C855
TCL has no 8K models in this year's line-up.
In addition to taking the lead on miniLED, TCL is also turning up the pressure on Samsung with Nxtvision – rebranded from Nxtframe. It is a direct alternative to Samsung The Frame, a screen that functions as a normal TV for movies and series, but doubles as a digital photo frame when not in use. Nxtvision Pro is the same TV but with B&O sound added. TCL Nxtvision has a matte coating.
On the gaming front, TCL supports up to 144Hz at 4K, but the LCD panels can actually go as high as 288Hz at 1080p resolution, for example when paired with a PC. However, there are still only two HDMI 2.1 ports for high frame rate input as TCL continues to use the MediaTek Pentonic 700 chip – no updates yet on Pentonic 800. HDMI 2.1 QMS is also still missing.
TCL TVs get Filmmaker Mode for the first time
All major HDR formats are supported; HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG – TCL is not picking sides. A new addition this year is Filmmaker Mode, appearing for the first time in TCL TVs. Filmmaker Mode initially works with SDR and HDR10, and Dolby Vision support is coming via a software update later this year.
TCL became known in the US through its focus on Roku, but today TCL equals Google TV. The TVs come preloaded with Android 12 and supports more or less all of the popular streaming apps locally and internationally – but not yet the Xbox app. Because it is Google TV, Google Cast (Chromecast) is built in. Gemini integration will come later.
Although TCL is married to Google, all models still include Apple features like AirPlay 2 and Apple Home.

On the audio front, TCL supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and some 2025 models will, for the first time, support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. This allows wireless speakers to connect directly to the TV (no soundbar required) and be placed freely around the room – no need to turn your living room into a rigid home theater layout just to get surround sound. FlatpanelsHD has taken a closer look at FlexConnect here.
Sound is a major focus for TCL this year. The higher-end models now feature significantly more powerful speakers, with both side-firing and up-firing units for Dolby Atmos. The speakers are tuned by Bang & Olufsen and include a built-in BeoSonic interface to adapt the sound profile.
C7K launches in sizes up to 115 inches
TCL TVs still come with built-in tuners. WiFi has been upgraded to WiFi 6 (ax) in several models, and Bluetooth is now version 5.4. However, the Ethernet port is still limited to 100Mbps.

On top of that, you still get all the features found in last year’s models, including AV1 video decoding, Calman Ready, Game Bar menu, ATSC and DVB tuners (but no dual tuners), and more.
The new models are rolling out gout now in the US and will launch in Europe starting now and throughout the summer.
You can recognize a 2025 TCL model by the model number ending in 'K', for example, QM8K in North America and C8K in Europe.
The overview will be updated continuously to reflect any changes or new models presented by TCL. Once the TV models become available in stores, the model name and size will become clickable links for price comparison/retailers.
