TCL's 2026 TV lineup introduces new LCD TVs with 'super quantum dots' and RGB miniLED. Both technologies expand the color space for HDR content. For the first time, the lineup also brings Dolby Vision 2 and four HDMI 2.1 ports. Here are TCL's 2026 TV models.
We have redesigned our TV line-up overview to include more data and technical information (under TV models click on to expand the view). We are also introducing an interactive TV compare tool (use to add TVs to compare tool). It's all powered by the TV Database.
China's TCL has emerged as a major force in the TV market in recent years. The company has not only overtaken Samsung and Sony in LCD and LED technology, but is also close to dethroning Samsung as the world's largest TV maker. You may also have heard that TCL will take control of Sony's TV/AV business in 2027, although that transition will not happen until 2027.
The flagship model for 2026 is the X11L in both North America, Europe and elsewhere. It is an LCD TV with miniLED and 'super quantum dots'. TCL's message is that this combination of backlight technologies, paired with up to 20,736 local dimming zones, delivers better picture quality than LCD TVs with RGB LED backlighting.

That does not mean TCL is ignoring RGB LED – also known as 'micro RGB' or 'RGB miniLED'. Like competitors Hisense, LG and Samsung, TCL is launching its first LCD TVs with RGB LED backlighting this year. The new RM series includes the RM9L and RM7L, with the primary differences being the number of dimming zones and brightness.
There are also more affordable models featuring 'super quantum dots'. Two of these are the successors to the popular C8K / QM8K and C7K / QM7K ranges. This year's versions are called QM8L (North America) / C8L (Europe) and QM7L / C7L, with the former being the only one with Dolby Vision 2 Max and a WHVA LCD panel for wider viewing angles. Both also feature more dimming zones than last year's versions to improve backlight control and HDR contrast.
Dolby Vision 2 is one of the major new features this year. Dolby's updated video format now expands beyond HDR (High Dynamic Range) to include other aspects of image processing. For example, the Dolby Vision 2 Max version can smooth out motion. Read more in our article about Dolby Vision 2.
A more scaled-down Q7D Pro becomes TCL's most affordable LCD TV with 'super quantum dots'. For the first time, TCL is also bringing miniLED backlighting to some entry-level TVs.
TCL A400 Pro (Nxtvision Pro) is one of the 2026 models
A new version of Nxtvision is coming to challenge Samsung's The Frame. It is a TV designed to show artwork when not in use. With A400, TCL aims to surpass Samsung The Frame Pro in picture quality by using miniLED local dimming instead of Samsung's edge-lit miniLED.
TCL has been one of the driving forces behind home cinema-sized TVs. In addition to the existing 98-inch TVs and the company's first 115-inch model last year, TCL is launching new super-sized models including a 115-inch RM9L (RGB LED) and a more affordable 98-inch P8L. However, we will have to wait for TCL's first 130-inch LCD TV, as Samsung appears set to launch one first.
The Chinese TV maker remains closely aligned with Google on the software side. All models run Google TV, providing access to virtually all major international and local streaming apps, including Disney+, Netflix, Apple TV and HBO Max. Google Cast (Chromecast) and many other Google features are built in. One notable missing app is Xbox cloud gaming, and it remains unclear whether it will arrive, despite TCL previously saying it was on the way, as Microsoft is in the process of shifting its Xbox strategy.
Despite its close partnership with Google, TCL also supports Apple features such as AirPlay 2 and Apple Home.
All models run Google TV with features such as Google Cast and Gemini
Another new feature this year is TCL's move from the Pentonic 700 to the Pentonic 800 chipset. It is slightly faster, but the main difference is support for four HDMI 2.1 ports instead of two. TCL now matches LG in terms of HDMI 2.1 features as TCL has also added HDMI 2.1 QMS (Quick Media Switching). Pentonic 800 is also what enables Dolby Vision 2.
TCL continues moving toward a near-complete alignment between its European and US model ranges. This year, the differences are more or less limited to model names. For example, C8L in Europe corresponds to QM8L in the US, while C7L matches QM7L. Note that the TVs are also sold under alternative model names in some regions such as QLED*** or MQLED***. These alternative names are listed in the lineup overview at the bottom.
TCL no longer offers any 8K models.
On the gaming front, most models support 144Hz in 4K. They can also run at up to 288Hz in 1080p resolution when connected to a PC. Gaming features include VRR, ALLM and a built-in Game menu.
All major HDR formats are supported, including HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG. Filmmaker Mode was added last year as a picture mode, and a future update will bring Filmmaker Mode support to Dolby Vision.
For audio, the TVs support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. TCL also supports Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, allowing compatible wireless speakers to connect directly to the TV and be positioned more freely using Dolby's virtualization technology. TCL continues its partnership with Bang & Olufsen in the more expensive models.

The TVs include all the features found in last year's models such as AV1 video decoding, Calman Ready, Game Bar menu, DVB and ATSC 3.0 tuners (only in some models) and more. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 are supported, although the Ethernet port remains capped to 100Mbps.
The models will begin arriving on the market in late spring and throughout the summer.
The 2026 models end with 'L' in the model name (for example, C8L). TCL changed its naming structure in 2025. In short: 2026 = X*L/RM*L/C*L/P*L, 2025 = X*K/C*K/P*K, 2024 = Px55/Cx55/Xx55, 2023 = Px45/Cx45, 2022 = Px35/Cx35, 2021 = Px25/Cx25, 2020 = Px15/Cx15.
The overview will be updated continuously to reflect any changes or new models presented by TCL. Once the TV models become available in stores, the model name and size will become clickable links for price comparison/retailers.
