WHDI LLC is pleased to announce that LG Electronics will be joining the WHDI SIG. Current members of the WHDI SIG are AMIMON, Hitachi, LG Electronics, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony.
The addition of LG Electronics to the special interest group builds on the momentum of the WHDI standard as the leader in multi-room wireless high-definition video, audio and device control connectivity says AMIMON.

AMIMON also says that LG, as a promoter, will help shape and drive the WHDI standard. WHDI allows will enable wireless streaming of HD video and audio between CE devices such as LCD and plasma HDTVs, multimedia projectors, A/V receivers, DVD and BD players, set-top boxes, game consoles, and PCs.

"With leading CE manufacturers on board, a proven technology and a strong demand from consumers for multi-room wireless HDTV connectivity, the WHDI standard has all the ingredients to become a successful industry standard."
