Dell has presented their new G series on CES 2009. The G series monitors feature a LED backlight and will be available in 22 inches and 24 inches.
Dell will launch the two new LED backlit monitors G2210 and G2410 in 22 inches and 24 inches, respectively. The LED backlight allows for a reduced power consumptions, better picture quality and perfect light homogeneity.
Dell G series
Specifications are as follows:
Resolution: 1680x1050 (G2210) / 1920x1080 (G2410)
Contrast ratio: 1000:1 (1.000.000:1 dynamic)
Brightness: 250 cd/m2
Response time: 5 ms
Dell says that the monitors consume just 18W and 20W when used.
Dell G series
Both monitors has to be connected through the analogues D-SUB (VGA) input or the digital DVI with HDCP support which makes sure that Blu-Ray players and gaming consoles can be connected.
G2210 and G2410 will be available from February 2009. Prices are 279 and 359 US dollars, respectively.
