LG exhibits a 15 inch OLED-TV on CES 2009 and says that it will enter mass production this summer. The OLED panel is just 1.4 mm thick.
LG takes us one step closer to OLED monitors and larger OLED-TVs with their 15 inch OLED prototype. The OLED-TV has been developed by LG’s own R&D department and is likely to enter production this July.

- "It's likely to come in the second half of this year, as soon as we get customers," said Kim Won, director of OLED sales and marketing at LG Display.
The 15 inch OLED screen is an AM (active matrix) OLED panel. AM panels are required to produce larger OLED screens and recently Samsung also announced that they want to phase out PM (passive matrix) and focus on the AM variant.

The resolution of the OLED panel is 1366x768 and therefore higher than Sony’s 11 inch OLED-TV, XEL-1. LG also promises a 30.000 hours life time.
LG did not mention a price.
