Some markets have not evolved much since introduction. One of these is the market for laptops but the OLED technology might change that. Thus, LG presents their newest laptop concept built around the OLED technology.
The laptop in the picture below is still just a concept, but the use of an OLED screen and an OLED keyboard is a fascinating detail that once again demonstrates the great potential of the OLED technology.
LG has replaced the traditional LCD display with a power-saving and very thin OLED display. The OLED panel has no frame allowing LG to create an elegant and minimalist laptop named"eBook".

Equally impressive is the OLED panel that has replaced the keyboard. Obviously, there are no buttons but instead LG has used a touch-sensitive OLED panel that detects the pressure from your fingers.
The OLED technology is also energy-saving and space saving, making it a perfect component in the production of laptops.
If you wonder what the blue substance in the middle of the laptop is, it is a so-called blue methyl alcohol battery, floating in a transparent container.
The LG OLED eBook has won design awards from the German Red Dot Award. It’s not planned for production at the moment, though.
