LG has officially presented their new 22 inch widescreen monitor W2286L that utilizes a LED backlight. LED can improve picture quality, lower power consumption and reduce the thickness of the desiplay.
The new W2286L from LG uses LED backlighting and has an ultra-thin design in elegant black gloss, with a red hue. The screen is just 18 mm thick.

W2286L offers a resolution of 1680 x 1050, which is quite traditional for the 22-inch monitors today. In addition, the screen has a 2 ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio (1.000.000:1 dynamic).

LG W2286L has a TN panel. LG also claims that the screen has low power consumption of only 26 watts. The monitor comes with analogue VGA, digital DVI and 2 HDMI interfaces.
The price will be around 290 Euro in Europe. LG is allegedly also planning a 24-inch version called W2486L.
