IFA 2009: LG 15-inch OLED official

LG has presented their new 15-inch OLED TV to the world at IFA 2009 and the model is now official. It will reach the market soon at a price of 2.500 US dollars - at least in some regions.
LG launches the second OLED-TV in the world after >Sony’s 11-inch XEL-1. LG’s OLED is larger and cheaper - but no less impressive.
The OLED-TV is a true marvel of both picture quality and design. The monitor frame is just 1.7 millimeters and image quality looks very impressive. We publish a separate article with real-life pictures of the screen very soon.
LG’s 15-inch OLED TV has a resolution of 1366x768, which corresponds to that of many 32-inch LCD-TV. Other technical features are: brightness of 200 cd/m2 and a peak brightness of 440 cd/m2, contrast ratio"over 100.000:1" and a response time of less than 0.01 ms (LCD-TVs today have response times of 10-30 ms in reality).
LG’s 15-inch OLED-TV will be launched in Korea in November or December 2009. It will be avaialable in in other regions of the world later as well. The price should be 2500 US dollars according to sources.
