Since Samsung introduced their 2233rz 120 Hz monitor no other manufacturers have introduced 120 Hz monitors. Yeah, ViewSonic has one but it’s not available anywhere near here. Now LG unveils their new 23-inch W2363D; a 120 Hz monitor in Full HD resolution that also supports 3D.
120 Hz 3D monitor W2363D
LG has unveiled their first 120 Hz PC monitor. The new 23-inch W2363D is also the first monitor to combine the 1920x1080 resolution with true 120 Hz support.
LG W2363D supports 3D because of 120 Hz that is able to deliver 60 Hz to each eye. 3D is possible together with 3D shutter glasses. For example the ones from Nvidia.
LG W2363D 120 Hz Full HD monitor
LG W2363D has a 1920x1080 resolution, a response time of 3 ms and a dynamic contrast ratio of 70.000:1. It is equipped with 1 DVI and 2 HDMI inputs.
In order to receive 120 Hz signals you need a graphic card that is able to output 120 Hz - 120 pictures per second.
LG W2363D also has a Thru-mode to ensure that any input lag is reduced to a minimum. This is good news for gamers. Finally, W2363D has built-in speakers.
LG W2363D will be ready in the second or third quarter of 2010. Price has not been announced.
