LG will be launching their 15-inch OLED-TV EL9500 in a few months but now LG has also disclosed their future OLED plans.
The new 15-inch OLED should be regarded as an experiment according to LG in order to gain valuable experiences with the OLED technology but LG also has plans to mass-produce larger OLED-TVs in the coming years with a 40-inch OLED-TV in 2012.
20” in 2010, 30” in 2011 and 40” in 2012
LG Vice President Won Kim, responsible for the OLED division, now gives us consumers hope. He promises larger OLED-TVs from LG within a few years.

Won Kim has mentioned in an interview that LG will initialize mass production of 20-inch OLED panels later this year for PC monitors and small TVs.
In 2011 LG will start mass production of 30-inch OLED panels, and in 2012 OLED-TVs will be available in 40-inches from LG.

OLED is considered the next breakthrough in display technologies and will most likely replace the LCD technology.
