Samsung announces new speakerbar HW-C450

The Samsung HW-C450 speakerbar has a wireless subwoofer

Flat panel TVs are still getting thinner and thinner and this also means that the speakers are getting thinner. Therefore you might want to have a separate speaker system or a soundbar. Samsung has announced their new “speakerbar” called HW-C450. It also comes with a wireless subwoofer.

Samsung’s new 2.1 speakerbar can replace the speakers in your Samsung TV and provide you with better and deeper sound. This is done with an oblong speaker and a separate subwoofer.

The speakerbar outputs 2x80W stereo and the subwoofer is able to deliver 120W. This should improve sound quality a lot compared to built-in flat panel TV speakers.

Including is also a wall mounting solution, to mount the speakerbar below your TV. The width of the speakerbar is 95.5 centimetres.

Wireless Connectivity
The subwoofer connects to the speakerbar through a wireless link. By using the 5.8 GHz band you don’t need to have a cable running from the speakerbar to the subwoofer. You just need to supply the subwoofer with power from a power plug.

Samsung HW-C450 supports the Dolby Digital and DTS audio formats, and has an analog audio input and two digital optical audio inputs.
