The first 2 ms monitors were announced in 2005 and since then we have not heard much. Now ViewSonic has a 1 ms monitor ready for market launch. It’s the 27-inch VX2739wm.

ViewSonic VX2739wm is the first monitor in the world with a 1 ms response time. That sounds impressive but we also have to remember that response time on paper and in reality is not the same. 1 ms is a measurement of the fastest color transition.

Nevertheless, VX2739wm looks like a nice darling for gamers. The 27-inch monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels in 16:9 aspect ratio, 1 ms (g2g) response time, 1200:1 contrast ratio and 170/160 viewing angles. The monitor features a TN panel.
You can connect VX2739wm with DVI, HDMI or D-SUB. The frame is made from black, glossy plastic and the stand allows you to tilt the monitor.
The very fast response time is a result of an aggressive RTC (Overdrive circuit) technology. ViewSonic also provides advanced settings for this RTC function enabling the user to control the overshoot and undershoot.
