Panasonic, LG and Samsung have all begun to ship their 3DTVs, and now Philips has also made a move. The Philips 8605H series is now shipping
. It features Ambilight, LED and NET TV.

Philips 8605H is a member of the 8000 range just below the high-end 9000 series. This also means that Philips has incorporated the Ambilight system in a Ambilight Spectre 2 variant.

Philips 8605H is 3D Ready
The 8605H series also has LED backlight, 200 Hz Clear LCD, Full HD resolution and a response time of 1 ms. The TV is controlled with the Philips Pixel HD Engine, and sound is supplied by 2x10 W speakers.

Philips has incorporated a number of multimedia feautres such as the NET TV service that let’s you access different services including YouTube, as well as DLNA for video, mucis and pictures.
3D Ready
Philips 8605H is obviously more than a 3DTV. Yet it is worth noting that it’s Philips first 3DTV. 8605H is a so-called 3D Ready model.

Philips 8605H is 3D Ready
3D Ready means that 8605H is ready for 3D but that you need an additional 3D upgrade pack (PTA 02) with a 3D transmitter and 3D glasses.
Wiht 8605H Philips alkso joins the party of 3DTV manufacturers and Philips is using the same active system that requires active shutter 3D glasses that differs from the passive 3D glasses that most cinemas use today.

Philips 8605H will be available in Europe in 32, 37, 40, 46 and 52 inches called 32PFL8605H, 37PFL8605H, 40PFL8605H, 46PFL8605H and 52PFL8605H. Only the 40, 46 and 52 inch models are 3D Ready.
