Sony BDP-S570 is one of Sony's new Blu-ray players that also eat 3D Blu-ray movies. The player has built-in Wi-Fi and can be controlled with iPhone / iPod. Here’s a Sony BDP-S570 preview.

In this article we look at the Sony BDP-S570 which is Sony's 3D Blu-ray player and the player that we will use in the Sony HX800 review.
Sony BDP-S570 has the same Monolithic design as the Sony 2010 products and flat panel TVs. This means a black, glossy plastic front. At the bottom Sony has integrated some touch sensitive buttons.

On the right side of the player we found a USB port that supports photo, music and video.

Below you can see the back of the Blu-ray player. There’s also a USB port here which can be used to connect permanent devices such as an external hard drive. BDP-S570 also has both coaxial and optical digital audio outputs.

BDP-S570 also has built Wi-Fi but you can also connect it a LAN cable for faster speed.

You can also control Sony BDP-S570 with Apple iPhone / iPod / iPad with the Sony Blu-ray App. The App is shown below.

It has most of the functionality from the remote control and some advanced commands. By choosing Full Remote you can use features such as Fast-forward, chapter selection, subtitle selection etc. You can also download information about the movies that you watch by pressing the Disc info button.

But the iPhone function cannot replace the actual remote. Why? Because no on/off functionality has been integrated.
