Bang & Olufsen has updated their popular BeoVision 7-40 model several times - four to be exact. With the latest update, Bang & Olufsen has incorporated a new LCD panel in BV7-40, and BV7-40 is now in the fifth revision (hence the term mk V).
The new panel has a 200/240 Hz with Motion Compensation technology instead of 100/120 Hz in BV7-40 mk IV. The panel also has a higher contrast ratio of 4000:1, which is also an improvement over the previous version of the BeoVision 7-40. This suggests that mk V can reproduce even deeper blacks.
The update has already been applied and if you buy a BeoVision 7-40 now, you will receive a model with the new and improved panel. The price has not been changed.BeoVision 10 update
