LG to unveil 31" OLED-TV on IFA 2010
On IFA 2010 the largest OLED-TV ever from LG will be unveiled. It’s a 31” model which also takes us one step closer to living room sized OLED-TV. The OLED-TV is just 2.9 mm thick and LG says that it will be available from mid-2011.FlatpanelsHD will be in Berlin to cover the world’s largest consumer electronics fair IFA 2010. 31-inch OLED-TV from LG
The OLED technology has a great future and is expected to be the next major breakthrough in display technology after LCD and plasma. OLEDs are already being incorporated in small handheld devices and here you can feel the potential for amazing picture quality.

The model will be exhibited for the first time on IFA 2010 and here’s the first picture of the new wonder. We will also get back to you with more pictures of the TV in action from Berlin soon.
The 31-inch OLED-TV is based on an OLED panel with a 1920x1080 resolution. The TV itself measures just 2.9 mm in depth, making the Samsung C9000 seem fat. The OLED-TV has a 600 Hz panel refresh rate and is 3D Ready. Both Samsung and Sony have previously stated that the OLED technology is by far the best for 3D pictures because of the very fast response time and refresh rate.
LG promises that we can expect this next generation TV on the market starting mid-2011. Earlier this year LG released their 15-inch OLED-TV.
