Samsung 3D Video App
Most new Samsung TVs have the Internet@TV interface where you can use different Apps. And one has just been added to feed the hungry 3D audience.
Samsung 3D App with free 3D content
Right now the App has only three 3D trailers; Shrek Forever After, Megamind, and How to Train Your Dragon but the other tabs such as “Video Clips” and “Premium Videos” suggest that more will be added later on. At the moment 3D trailers are free and we expect the video clips to be free as well but “Premium Videos” will probably include content that you can buy.
This is an interesting step for 3D content as it enables uses without a 3D Blu-ray player or PlayStation 3 to access 3D content directly on their new 3DTV. All you need is to have your TV connected to the internet. Samsung says that the 3D content is streaming in full 3D resolution.
Samsung has been talking about this 3D content App for some time but no one expected it to come this soon. I’m sure we’ll hear much more about this on IFA 2010 in Berlin starting this Friday. We’ll keep you updated.
Let’s hear from some of you users with a Samsung 3DTV. Do you have access to this App in your country now?
