LG's PX950 3D plasma TV is now official with prices

We recently told you that LG has two 3D plasma TVs coming. The 50 and 60 inch models in are launched in a new PX950 series and this is also LG’s first 3D plasma TV. On IFA 2010 these models were made official along with the specifications and pictures. FlatpanelsHD presents LG PX950.

LG PX950 is a 3D plasma TV
LG has decided to follow in the footsteps of Samsung and Panasonic and have announced 3D plasma TVs. This could prove to be a wise move considering that the plasma technology is generally regarded as the best for 3D pictures.


LG PX950N

LG PX950 is also LG’s first 3D plasma TV. The design is based on LG’s Infinia design philosophy, which builds on a minimalistic look with very thin borders and a front glass. The TV also incorporates a THX picture mode to enable very accurate picture quality.

Multimedia and internet
LG PX950 incorporates the NetCast internet system, providing access to services such as Picasa and YouTube, as well as Widgets that will keep you updated on stock quotes, news etc. PX950 even supports DLNA that lets you stream music, photos and video from another PC / Mac in the home onto the screen.

The new Wireless AV Link is also integrated. This means that you can buy an external box with all the input connectors that transmit all signals to the TV wirelessly. By using this solution you only need a power cord to power the screen.

PX950 is based on the active 3D technology, which also means that you require active 3D glasses to enjoy 3D movies and 3D games. 2D-to-3D conversion is also an option. Finally, LG mentions that PX950 comes with the Magic Motion Remote that functions much like the Nintendo Wii remote.

PX950 will be available in september in 50 and 60 inches called 50PX950 and 60PX950. The European prices are 2100 Euro and 3100 Euro. Two pairs of 3D glasses are included.
