On IFA 2010 LG has announced a new soundbar with a built-in 3D Blu-ray player. The soundbar is called HLX55W, will be a 4.1 system with 430W, and has been optimized by Mark Levinson.

Soundbars are very popular these days, mostly because flat panel TVs are getting slimmer and slimmer. Now LG has announced their new HLX55W at IFA 2010 in Berlin; a 4.1 soundbar.

The soundbar has been developed together with the sound folks from Mark Levinson and features a long soundbar and a wireless subwoofer.
In the soundbar LG has found room for a 3D Blu-ray player that can playback 3D Blu-ray, 2D Blu-ray, DVD, and CDs. The Blu-ray player also support the online BD Live service, DLNA for streaming music, video and images, as well as integrated internet services such as YouTube and Picasa.
LG mentions that you can connect an iPod-dock to HLX55W and a USB hard drive in the USB port on the back.
No mention of price and launch date yet.
