During Japan's largest electronics trade show, CEATEC, Toshiba have unveiled their first 3DTVs that doesn’t require 3D glasses. The two 3DTVs will be available on the Japanese market starting December 2010.

Toshiba has unveiled a 3D technology and two new products that can reproduce 3D without 3D glasses. On the Japanese CEATEC exhibition Toshiba has presented the two 20 inches and 12 inches screens.

The 3D effect is reproduced with a multi-parallax principle. Toshiba explains that 3D requires two images viewed from two different angles. Toshiba's multi-parallax screens can reproduce images from 9 different angles that – according to Toshiba – can reproduce convincing 3D images.

The 3DTVs have limited viewing angles and it has been said earlier that you can expect 30 degree angles. Also, the resolution is limited to 1280x800 pixels.
Philips exhibited a prototype of a no-glasses 3D screen at IFA 2010.
Both 3D screens will be available in Japan from December 2010 in 20 and 12 inches called 20LG1 and 12GL1.
