Screens are becoming thinner and thinner and so are the bezel around the picture panel. Samsung have demonstrated a 55-inch screen with a very slim 1.9 bezel intended for multi-screen setups. This also means that large multi-screens setups are becoming more interesting for consumers.
Even thinner bezels
Samsung’s 55-inch Digital Information Display has a bezel of just 1.9 mm on the bottom and right edges and 3.8 mm on the top and left. This means that when you put these screens together you’ll see a very tiny black line measuring 5.7 mm between screens.

The monitors are intended for commercial purposes, but they’re also available to buy for consumers. They have been designed for multi-screen setups in for example shops and malls, and if you wish you can connect a lot of these monitor in multi-setup in order to get a very large screen.
The monitors have a 1920x1080 resolution which means that if you’re creating a 4-monitor setup you have a screen with a 3840x2160 resolution with very minimal borders between these.

Samsung is also releasing a 46-inch variant with a marginally wider bezel.
The TV manufacturers are still racing for the thinnest TVs and thinnest bezel. We just hope they’ll manage to develop virtually invisible frames to enable perfect, very large multi-screen setups for use in private homes.
