Just when Samsung though they had the slimmest screen bezel, LG sets a new record. LG's multi-screen displays have a tiny 4 mm (0.16 inches) separation between panels in a multi-screen setup.
4 mm LG multi-screen
Some time ago Samsung exhibited their multi-screen solution that had a record 5.7 mm bezel between screen. Now LG has announced a multi-screen solution with just 4 mm bezels, setting a new record.
LG’s 4 mm multi-screen solution
The multi-screen solution is targeted for commercial applications such as advertising and presentations, but the development is interesting. By reducing the bezel around panels, the multi-screen solutions are moving closer to consumers’ living rooms. It also supports the general trend towards thinner and more discrete TVs wtih a frame that is almost invisible – a trend that will dominate in the next few years.
LG's panel is 37-inches and can be stacked almost infinitely. The bezels are 2.5 mm on the bottom and right side of the panel and 1.5 mm on the top and left sides. This gives a total of just 4 mm (0.16 inches) in bezel separation.
LG is proponent of thinner TVs and in 2009 the released their SL9000 / SL90 models with a thin cabinet. In 2009 LG introduced their Infinia models with a slim cabinet and a thin bezel and later in 2009 LG unveiled the LEX8 with a very slim bezel.

In 2011 LG’s next generation of borderless TVs will be unveiled, according to sources.
LG 37-inch multi-screen setup will be exhibited at FPD International 2010 in Japan from tomorrow.
