Acer has released a new 24-inch 120 HZ monitor called HS244HQ. This model is also the first PC monitor to support HDMI 1.4 which means you can enjoy 3D from your PS3 or 3D Blu-ray player.

All current 120 Hz 3D PC monitors accept 120 Hz and 3D signals through DVI - but not via HDMI. This means that you can’t enjoy 3D from your PlayStation 3 or 3D Blu-ray player, but Acer is determined to change that with the new HS244HQ.

Acer HS2444HW has a HDMI 1.4 input that accepts 3D stereoscopic inputs from a PlayStation 3 or a 3D Blu-ray player. Naturally, you can also connect your PC via DVI to enable 3D gaming. Furthermore Acer HS244HQ comes bundled with Acer's own active 3D glasses and a built-in IR emitter.
The monitor has a 120 Hz TN panel with LED backlight that reduces power consumption. It has a sleek, black design with a teardrop shaped bottom. The panel also has a 1920x1080 resolution, 2 ms (g2g) response time and 170/160 degree viewing angles.
No official words about price or availability yet. Acer also says that they are planning to introduce a range of new 3D-capable LCD monitors in 2011, including a passive 3D monitor.
