Samsung 9 series with LED, 3D & asymmetric design

Samsung has released a few teaser pictures for the new 3D LED-backlit 9 series that will be unveiled at CES 2011 very soon. The new 9 series features a remarkable asymmetric design. We expected Samsung to pull up a new astonishing design and we expected a successor to the current 9 series – we just didn’t expect it to look this spectacular and different.

Samsung has released these teaser pictures of the new 9 series, most likely to be named D9000 or D950 when it hit stores later this year. The new 9 series has a LED-backlight (probably Edge LED) and 3D.

The design is spectacular and different. The curved bottom of the display and a metallic stand creates a asymmetric design. Users can also tilt the frame.

Samsung has not detailed if this is actually a TV or a combi PC/TV monitor but judging from the pictures, the screen is not very large. We will have more information about the new 9 series and the entire 2011 flat panel TV line-up from Samsung very soon. Stay tuned
