LG released W2363D based on 3D technology with active shutter glasses in 2010. Now LG has announced D42P, a 3D monitor with passive 3D technology.
The passive 3D technology has advantages such as much cheaper 3D glasses, no flicker, and low crosstalk but disadvantages such as half 3D resolution compared to the Full HD 3D experience with active 3D based monitors.
LG D42P enables gamers to enjoy their PC games in 3D. It also has a HDMI 1.4 input to allow users to connect other 3D devices such as a PS3 or a Blu-ray player.
