At Sharp’s CES 2011 press event it was announced that they will be bringing two 70-inch models to consumers around the globe in 2011. Expect a new LE935 range and a slightly cheaper LE732 range.
Sharp 70-inch TVs
In 2011 Sharp plans to release gigantic 70-inch models in their two new LE935 and LE735 ranges with four-color Quattron panels. A 70-inch TV is approximately 62 % larger than a 55-inch model, Sharp notes.

70-inch Sharp TV
In 2010 Sharp released a 65-inch model but this year it’s bigger and better. The high-end LE935 model replaces last year’s Edge LED backlighting system in LE925 with a Full LED backlight with local dimming, in order to reach those deep black levels.
LE935 is Sharp’s second generation 3DTV. It’s also web connected via Sharp’s Internet interface with access to services such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. Wi-Fi has been built in, too, and LE935 has a 240/200 Hz system.
Sharp also plans to release a 70-inch version of the cheaper LE735 range but Sharp has not detailed what differentiates the two models.
The 70-inch LC-70LE732 model is due out in May 2011. The LE935 range will be available “in 2011“.
