At CES 2011 LG has introduced four new Blu-ray players called BD69, BD670, BD650 and BD640. The flagship model BD690 has Wi-Fi Direct, 3D, 250GB HDD and a Media Library.

LG's new Blu-ray player is called BD690 and is packed with features, including a new Media Library feature that supports media files in a range of different formats.

LG highlights the Wi-Fi Direct function, which in essence means that BD690 can connect to other devices with Wi-Fi Direct without a wireless access point involved, for example flat panel TVs.
LG BD690 is a true network player. First and foremost it has DLNA support for video, music, and pictures through a wireless home network. Lastly, BD690 supports internet Apps and come pre-installed with Apps such as YouTube. More will be added later on, LG says.
The 250GB HDD is used for storing movies, music and images in a so-called Media Library that arranges all of your media files. BD690 obviously also supports 3D and smartphone remote controlling.
LG BD690 will be available in March-April 2011. The price has not been disclosed.

Besides the BD690, LG has also announced three lighter versions called BD670, BD650 and BD640. LG BD670 and BD650 have 3D support and BD640 is a 2D-only Blu-ray player.
